1. A. Outdoor School Sports Facilities and Gyms

SportMalta in collaboration with the Directorate for Educational Services, offers the use of outdoor School Sport Facilities and gyms after school hours to sport organisations registered with SportMalta.

Assistance:

1. SportMalta will take care of costs relating to day to day up keep of these facilities.
2. The rate will be subsidised by 75% of the commercial rental rate of the facility in question and will be charged on a 90 minute basis.
3. Contracts will be entered into and shall be applicable for one year (December to December, summer months excluded).

Eligibility Criteria:

1. A registered person under categories of “Federation”, “Association” or “Club”;
2. Organise (in the case of Federations and Associations) and/or participate in (in the case of Clubs) local competitions recognized by SportMalta;
3. Have a minimum number of 50 registered members,
4. The sports organisation shall have a repayment plan in cases where it has pending payments with SportMalta.

Documentation required:

1. SportMalta Registration certificate;
2. Duly filled in application form;
3. Details of Training programme including category, number of days, time slots and scope of training;
4. Declaration by the Treasurer and/or the Secretary stipulating the amount of currently paid up members.

1. B. SportMalta Premises

SportMalta offers subsidised rates for the use of Cottonera Sport Complex, Marsa Sport Complex, Kirkop Sports Complex and Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex to registered sports organisations in order to:

(i)Organise local national competitions/Championships;
(ii) Organise a one off activity including meetings (AGM/Committee monthly meetings);
(iii) train their athletes / teams;
(iv) Host an international activity.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. A registered person under categories of “Federation”, “Association” or “Club”;
2. Organise (in the case of Federations and Associations) and/or participate in (in the case of Clubs) local competitions recognized by SportMalta;
3. Have a minimum number of 50 registered members;
4. In the case of para (c) – Utilising the premises for training purposes, the Scheme is also applicable to all registered persons under categories of “Federation”, “Association” and “Clubs”. Nevertheless, SportMalta reserves the right to sign global agreements with the governing bodies of the particular sport to encompass use by the Federation/Association and its Clubs;
5. The sports organisation shall have a repayment plan in cases where it has pending payments with SportMalta.

Documentation required:

(a) In the case of a Local National Competition:

1. SportMalta registration certificate,
2. Duly filled in registration form,
3. Duration of the Local National Competition Calendar; (and dates of competition),
4.Declaration that an entrance fee is not charged for spectators, or
5. Whether another venue is being used;
6. Declaration by the Treasurer and/or the Secretary stipulating the amount of currently paid up members
7. If assistance from other sources has been requested / approved.

(b) In case of a one off activity:

1. SportMaltaregistration certificate,
2. Duly filled in registration form,
3. Details of the activity,
4. Declaration by the Treasurer and/or the Secretary stipulating the amount of currently paid up members and
5. Declaration that an entrance fee is not charged for spectators;
6. If assistance from other sources has been requested / approved.

(c) In the case of utilising the premises for training purposes:

1. SportMalta registration certificate,
2. Duly filled in registration form,
3. Details of Training programme including which category, number of days, time slots and scope of training,
4. Declaration by the Treasurer and/or the Secretary stipulating the amount of currently paid up members and
5. If assistance from other sources has been requested / approved.

(d)To host an International Activity:

1. SportMalta registration certificate,
2. Duly filled in registration form,
3. Details of International activity,
4. Number of teams/athletes/participants,
6. Whether other venues are being used,
7. Whether the activity is being sponsored,
8. If assistance from other sources has been requested / approved’
9. Declaration that an entrance fee is not charged for spectators,
10. Insurance policy covering the particular event.
