The Marsa Sports Complex includes a number of turf pitches and the Matthew Micallef St.John
Athletics Stadium. The turf areas include two full size Rugby pitches, one baseball/softball field, an
archery range and one 7 a side football pitch. The athletics track administered by the Malta Amateur
Athletic Assocation surrounds a turf area used for field events. There is also a cement-surfaced area
which comprises outdoor basketball and netball courts.
The Multi-Purpose pitches are mainly used by the Rugby Football Union, the Malta Amateur
Athletics Association, the Malta Softball and Baseball Association, the Archery Association of Malta,
the Malta Netball Association, and numerous foreign teams for training programs.
