St Clare College Bice Mizzi Vassallo Pembroke Primary hosted the SportMalta School Sports Day on October 11th, a vibrant initiative designed to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students. This engaging event brought together all Year 5 classes in a friendly atmosphere of competitive games, encouraging students to showcase their talents and teamwork skills.
A variety of activities were organized to cater to different skill levels, ensuring inclusivity and maximum participation. The focus was on fundamental skills and specific drills that kept the children engaged throughout the day. Physical Education teachers, along with class teachers and Learning Support Educators (LSEs), worked collaboratively to ensure the smooth flow of events, creating an enjoyable experience for all participants.
Feedback from both teachers and students was overwhelmingly positive. Educators noted a significant boost in student morale and teamwork, while students expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity to engage in physical activities beyond their regular school routine.
The SportMalta School Sport Day successfully fostered a spirit of camaraderie, competition, and health awareness among the students. Looking ahead, we anticipate further collaborations and ongoing efforts to promote sports within schools across Malta, nurturing the next generation of active citizens.
