As part of the European Week of Sport and the #BeActive campaign, Starlites Basketball Club organised an exciting week-long programme of training and activities at the Loutraki Sport Youth Camp.
A total of 43 young athletes, aged between 11 and 15, took part in this enriching experience. The programme combined basketball training with a variety of complementary activities including swimming, sand training, and strength & conditioning sessions. This mix of disciplines not only improved the participantsâ sporting skills but also highlighted the importance of versatility, teamwork, and overall fitness.
By engaging in different types of physical activity, the young athletes experienced the benefits of sport in a fun and dynamic way while building lifelong habits that align with the #BeActive message. Beyond improving their technical and physical abilities, the camp also fostered friendship, resilience, and confidence among participants.
Through initiatives like this, Starlites Basketball Club continues to play an important role in nurturing the next generation of athletes while contributing to the national and European drive to encourage more young people to embrace active and healthy lifestyles.
