As part of the European Week of Sport â #BeActive Program, co-funded by the European Union and supported by SportMalta, the Maharlika Sports Club successfully hosted the Maharlika League Malta Season 5 Special Game Day on 14 September 2025.
The event gathered around 160 participants, including players, volunteers, and audience members, in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, community, and active living. The Special Game Day served not only as a highlight of the ongoing Maharlika League season but also as a meaningful contribution to the #BeActive campaignâs goal of encouraging everyone to embrace healthier and more active lifestyles.
Throughout the day, participants enjoyed a series of exciting basketball games, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and friendly competition within the Filipino community in Malta. The event also provided an opportunity to promote inclusivity and cultural exchange through sport, reinforcing the vital role that physical activity plays in strengthening community ties and enhancing well-being.
The Maharlika Sports Club looks forward to continuing its collaboration with SportMalta in promoting health, wellness, and active participation in sports across all communities in Malta.
