The #BeActive Night and #SummerOnTheMove End-of-Year Celebrations brought together hundreds of children, parents, and sports enthusiasts for an evening full of movement, fun, and community spirit. The event, held at the Kirkop Sports Complex, marked this yearâs 10th Anniversary of the European Week of Sport.
Since 2015, the Week has helped millions of Europeans discover the physical, mental and social benefits of sport and physical activity. Join us as we look back on a decade of progress and look ahead to an even more dynamic future. Being active is one of the most effective ways to boost mental well being, reduce stress and bring people together
During the evening, every child who took part in the #SummerOnTheMove was presented with a Certificate and Medal of Participation, recognising their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the year. The children also surprised everyone present with a special performance they had prepared especially for this occasion, a wonderful display of teamwork, rhythm, and joy.
In addition to the celebrations, all those attending had the chance to watch or even take part in various sporting activities organised around the complex. Participants had the opportunity to engage in football matches, obstacle course races, cycling challenges, rowing exercises, judo, esport, line dancing and many other fun and active games. It truly reflected the #BeActive spirit, promoting health, teamwork, and physical activity for all ages.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to all the coaches, parents, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the #BeActive Night and the year-round activities. Their dedication and teamwork are what make the #BeActive community strong, inclusive, and inspiring.
As the evening came to a close at the Kirkop Sports Complex, the sense of pride and achievement was felt all around. Smiling faces, clapping hands, and lively music created the perfect atmosphere to end the year, and to look forward to another exciting #BeActive season
