On Sunday, 5th October 2025, Pembroke Local Council proudly organised a community sports event as part of the European Week of Sport and the #BeActive campaign. The event brought together residents of all ages, from young children to senior citizens, alongside representatives from local sports associations and educational institutions, creating a vibrant and inclusive celebration of physical activity.
The activities were designed to engage participants of all fitness levels, encouraging everyone to take part in fun, safe, and accessible games. Children enjoyed a range of playful sports challenges, while adults and seniors took part in activities that promoted movement, coordination, and teamwork. This multi-generational approach highlighted the importance of staying active at every stage of life.
Through these shared experiences, residents not only engaged in physical activity but also built stronger connections, fostering friendship, cooperation, and a sense of belonging. The day exemplified how sport can bring communities together, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create lasting memories for people of all ages.
