On a sunny Friday, October 13th, the students of St. Dorothy in Sliema had an exciting day of physical activity as they took part in the SportMalta Schools Sports Day 2023. This special event aimed to promote the importance of staying active and healthy.
The day began with a short video that explained the benefits of physical activity. The students learned how being active can make them feel better, be stronger, and have more energy. They also discovered that it’s not just about winning in sports but about having fun and being active.
After the informative video, it was time for some action. The students had a lively warm-up dance session in their classrooms to get their bodies moving and their spirits high. Then, they headed out to the schoolyard where various physical activity stations were set up. These stations offered a range of fun activities that could easily be done in their free time.
The students had a blast participating in activities like relay races, jumping, and even some fun exercises. It was a day filled with laughter, excitement, and the joy of being active.
SportMalta Schools Sports Day 2023 was not just about competition; it was a day to remind these young minds that being active is a lot of fun, and it keeps them healthy and happy. St. Dorothy’s students left with smiles on their faces, knowing that being active is a wonderful way to enjoy life.
