As part of the European Week of Sport, Stella Maris College Junior School Malta proudly joined the SportMalta Schools Sports Day 2025.
Held on Friday, 26th September 2025, the event brought together 288 students from Grades 3 to 6 and around 50 staff members in a day filled with movement, teamwork, and fun. Despite the rainy weather, all activities went ahead as planned under the schoolâs special theme for the year:
âWe all belong! All is connected! â Let us Get a Whole School Moving â ESSD 2025.â
The celebration began with a one-mile walk around the school grounds, followed by a movement-to-music workshop led by a Grade 4 teacher and supported by two Learning Support Educators. Students also enjoyed fun game stations and football exercises organised by coaches from Sliema Wanderers Football Youth Academy, who regularly collaborate with the school.
Organised and coordinated by PE teacher Mr. Ramon Formosa, the day was a resounding success. The studentsâ laughter, chants, and enthusiasm created a wonderful atmosphere that truly embodied the spirit of ESSD and the European Week of Sport â promoting health, inclusion, and the joy of being active together.
#BeActive â Together, letâs get schools on the move!
