Gozo College Ninu Cremona Secondary School organized an exciting tug of war competition for Year 11 students on 11th October 2024, as part of the school’s celebration of sports. The event featured participation from eight teams, with one team representing each class. The competition kicked off during the sixth lesson, from 12:15 PM to 12:55 PM, with intense quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
To enhance school spirit and encourage community participation, the final was held during the midday break, allowing the rest of the school to attend and cheer on their favourite teams. The atmosphere was electric as students rallied behind their classmates, creating a lively and supportive environment.

After a series of thrilling matches, the Year 11 Emeralds emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional teamwork and determination throughout the competition. As a reward for their hard work and dedication, the winning team was presented with a token, generously sponsored by the school administration.
This tug of war competition not only promoted physical activity among students but also fostered camaraderie and school spirit. The event was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of sports in creating a vibrant school community.
