San Ġorġ Preca Secondary School Hamrun joined the SportMalta School Sports Day celebrations bringing the school community together for a day dedicated to sport, physical activity, and the enjoyment of being active.

Pupils participated in a variety of sporting activities, including volleyball, basketball, football, and badminton. The activities provided students with opportunities to try different sports, develop their skills, and enjoy physical activity in an engaging and supportive environment.

Throughout the day, teamwork, enthusiasm, and friendly competition were at the heart of the activities. Pupils encouraged one another, demonstrated good sportsmanship, and celebrated the importance of participating and working together, regardless of the outcome.

The event highlighted the important role sport plays in bringing people together, building friendships and fostering positive relationships within the school community. It also reinforced the value of encouraging young people to remain physically active and adopt healthy habits from an early age.
The initiative reflects the objectives of SportMalta Schools Sports Day, which encourages schools across Malta and Gozo to celebrate sport and promote physical activity as an essential part of students’ everyday lives.
