Ħamrun Dun Frans Camilleri Primary School joined the SportMalta School Sports Day celebrations on Monday, 19 October 2026, by organising a fun-filled sports day for pupils in Years 1 to 3, encouraging them to enjoy physical activity and develop their movement skills through play.

Under the guidance of the school’s Physical Education teacher, pupils rotated between different activity stations featuring running, jumping, throwing, balancing and obstacle courses. These activities offered children the opportunity to practise fundamental movement skills, challenge themselves physically and discover the enjoyment of participating in different physical activities.

Throughout the event, pupils demonstrated enthusiasm and active participation, enjoying the opportunity to move, interact and work together with their classmates. The activities created a positive and engaging environment where children could develop coordination, balance and confidence while learning the importance of staying active from an early age.
The initiative reflects the objectives of SportMalta School Sports Day, which encourages schools across Malta and Gozo to celebrate sport and promote physical activity as an important part of children’s everyday lives.
