St Ġorġ Preca College – Paola Primary participated in SportMalta School Sports Day 2026, organising a variety of fun and engaging sporting activities for pupils from Years 1 to 6. The activities aimed to promote physical activity, teamwork, coordination, and healthy lifestyles.
The event was organised into six 45-minute sessions, allowing pup ils from different year groups to participate in games suited to their age and abilities.

Pupils in Years 3 and 4 enjoyed games such as Fish and Sharks, Castle Knockdown and Point Collector. These activities encouraged pupils to develop their speed, agility, throwing accuracy and teamwork through tag games and point-scoring challenges.
Meanwhile, pupils in Years 1 and 2 participated in Clean Your Room, Multiple Lions and Tigers, and Rocket Rescue. These games focused on movement, reaction time, coordination, and cooperation, allowing younger pupils to stay active while enjoying friendly competition.

Older pupils in Years 5 and 6 took part in Secret Agent, Castl e Knockdown and 21. These activities challenged students to use their strategic thinking, speed and accuracy while working together towards a common goal.
Due to windy weather conditions, the originally planned Monster Ball activity was adapted to Castle Knockdown, ensuring that pupils could continue enjoying the programme.

Throughout the day, pupils were encouraged to participate actively, support their classmates and develop their physical skills in a positive and enjoyable environment. The event highlighted the importance of making physical activity fun and accessible to students of all ages.
