On Friday, 11th October, the Archbishop Seminary School hosted a small-scale Sports Day for Year 8 students, featuring three exciting activities: pickleball, archery, and dodgeball. This event aimed to promote physical activity and sportsmanship, aligning perfectly with the objectives of the SportMalta School Sports Day initiative.

The day began with pickleball, a fun and dynamic sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Students eagerly learned the rules and developed their skills while enjoying friendly matches. Following pickleball, students participated in archery, where they had the chance to shoot arrows from short distances. This activity not only encouraged focus and precision but also fostered teamwork as students worked together to accumulate points.
The event culminated in a high-energy game of dodgeball, which encouraged strategic thinking and collaboration. Divided into teams, students dodged, threw, and caught balls, all while displaying excellent sportsmanship.
The Sports Day achieved its goals by promoting physical activity and fostering a sense of community among the students. Positive feedback highlighted the importance of such events in encouraging a healthy lifestyle and building relationships within the school. Overall, the event was a success, reinforcing the value of teamwork and active living.
