SportMalta tippreÅženta total taâ âŽ1,049,738 fâgħajnuniet finanzjarji lill-assoÄjazzjonijiet u atleti individwali.
Is-Segretarju Parlamentari għaÅž-ÅŧgħaÅžagħ, Sport u Għaqdiet tal-Volontarjat Clifton Grima saħaq li permezz tal-assistenzi minn SportMalta, qed naraw li l-assoÄjazzjonijiet u klabbs qed ikunu proattivi u qed jieħdu inizzjattivi biex jiÄĄÄĄeneraw dħul. Kien għalhekk li l-Gvern ħaseb biex idaħħal il-liÄĄi taâ kummerÄjalizazzjoni taâ artijiet sportivi sabiex jagħti liberta regolata lill-klabbs u assoÄjazzjonijiet biex juÅžaw l-artjiet fdati lilhom mill-Gvern biex ikomplu jkabbru l-likwidita u juÅžawha biex l-isport tagħhom jikber.
Bâkollox kienu 118-il atleta u assoÄjazzjoni li bbenefikaw minn assistenza finanzjarja matul din is-sena. Dawn jinkludu il-ħlas ghall-iskema tal-assistenzi taâ SportMalta għall-2017 li jinkludi assistenza finanzjarja għal proÄĄetti li jammontaw għal âŽ931,876, Youth Development Scheme li jammonta għal âŽ6,237, Flexi Training Scheme li jammontaw għal âŽ24,152, ittri taâ impenn għall-2018 li jammontaw għal âŽ192,000, Assistenza lill-atleti tas-Synchro Academy li jammontaw għal âŽ4,200, il-premjijiet u sussidji tar-Regatta taâ Ju mil-ÄĶelsien li jammontaw għal âŽ18,485, assistenza lill-Għaqda Ä urnalisti tal-isport għan-National Sport Awards li jammontaw għal âŽ60,905 u assistenza lill-privat rigward special leave li jammonta għal âŽ3,882.
SportMalta torganizza erbaâ Äerimonji sabiex l-assoÄjazzjonijiet sportivi u l-atleti ma jkollhomx jistennew Åžmien twil għall-assistenza finanzjarja. Dawn huma parti mir-riforma taâ SportMalta għall-benefiÄÄju tal-assoÄjazzjonijiet u federazzjonijiet, biex bâhekk tagħtihom aktar Äertezza biex jippjanaw finanzjarjament.
Waqt l-istess Äeremonja ÄĄew ippreÅžentati wkoll 30 Äertifikat lill-kowÄis u ħaddiema taâ SportMalta li spiÄÄaw il-Kors tal-First Aid bâsuÄÄess. Dan il-kors ÄĄie mfassal sabiex il-ħaddiema u kowÄis dejjem ikunu kapaÄi jassistu persuni fâdiffikulta fiÅžika waqt xi attivitaâ sportiva u anke fuq il-post tax-xogħol.

Summer on the Move is the biggest and most popular programme for kids and adults alike, where sport and physical activity are the focus for a fun-filled summer.
Now in itsâ 15th edition, Summer on the Move promises to provide over 7000 participants to choose their favourite activities from 400 weekly sessions offered at different times and venues.
This yearâs edition has a lots of new activities across the different facilities around the island.
At Zebbug weâre starting with SportsFun, Gymnastics, Hip Hop, Fitness, Parent & Child FUNdamentals, Dance Workout, Basketball, Handball
Down at Cottonera weâre kicking off Athletics, Football For Girls, Pilates, Parent & Child FUNdamentals, Sportdanz, Synchronised dance, Dancesport Latin American ( couples Only)
Activities such as Basketball 17+, Volleyball 17+, Social & Line Dancing and Football For Girls are now available at Mosta, whilst Sportdanz, Synchronised dance, Dancesport Latin American ( couples Only)
The popular Parent and Child Swimming lessons are available again at Kirkop, Siggiewi and Tal-Qroqq. This particular activity is perfect for your toddlers to start become physically activate and develop the bond with us parents.
Families are encouraged to take part together in activities offered for all ages at the same time. SportMalta ensures that the best coaches are selected to deliver the best quality programme in a bid to encourage the participants to start practising sport regularly beyond summer.

Is-Segretarju Parlamentari spjega li dal-proÄĄett ambizzjuÅž qed isir bi tħejjija biex Malta tilqaâ kampjonat internazzjonali tal-sparar li fâÄ unju li ÄĄej li ser joffri niÄÄa ÄĄdida taâ turiÅžmu sportiv. Qal li dan se jkun mifrux fuq għaxar tâijiem u huwa mistenni li jikkompettu mal-ħamsin pajjiÅž differenti, mijiet taâ tiraturi u uffiÄÄjali.
It-tħejjiiet fuq dan il-proÄĄett jikkonsistu l-bini tar-range innifisha li se tkun faÄilita state of the art għad-dixxiplini tal-isparar tat-trap, double trap u skeet. Qed jinvolvu toroq mal-madwar, servizzi marbuta maâ dawl u ilma, xogħol marbut maâ xibka li tilqaâ Ä-Äomb li hi twila 360 metru u għolja 15-il metru u livellar tal-art skont l-standards neÄessarji li titlob shooting range taâ kwalita.

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENTS SCHOLASTIC YEAR 2017-2018
Scholastic Year 2017-2018 saw once more the organisation of the Volleyball Tournaments for all State, Church and Private schools in Malta. All events were held at the Cottonera Sports Complex and were organised by the Sport Promotion Unit within SportMalta in collaboration with the Malta Volleyball Association.
Form 5 students were in action in December. Two tournaments were held on December 1st (Boys) and 11th (Girls). In the boysâ category, Stella Maris College had the better of Savio College, while in the girlsâ category SIC Handaq Secondary topped the table after playing against St Monica Birkirkara, SCC Pembroke Secondary and St Joseph Blata l-Bajda.
A month later it was the turn of the Form 3&4 students to be in action in the Qualifying phase. These games were held on the 11th (Boys) and 12th January (Girls). The Finals were held on the 13th of April. In the boysâ category Savio College had the better of St Aloysius College. On the other hand in the girlsâ category, St Catherine School Pembroke emerged winners after preceding SCC Pembroke Secondary and St Monica Birkirkara in very tight and hard fought games.
The younger students in Form 1&2 were involved in a Festival which took place on the 12th of April. They played in a 3v3 format on six courts. The participating schools were MRC Naxxar MS, SMC Cospicua MS, St Monica Birkirkara and St Dorothyâs School Zebbug. A total of twenty-one teams were fielded, fifteen girls and six boys. For most of these players it was their first experience playing volleyball against our players from different schools. It was a pleasurable and fruitful experience for all of them.
