On Friday, 11th October, STC Anthony Valletta Birkirkara Primary School proudly hosted a successful Mini Sports Day, with around 500 students actively participating. The event featured various sports stations thoughtfully designed to accommodate the different abilities and needs of each year group, ensuring that all students could enjoy the activities.
The day was filled with fun and competitive games, including “Head, Shoulders, Knees, Go!,” relay races (baton and hurdles), throwing the hoop, standing long jump, parachute games, Tic-Tac-Toe, and hockey relays. These activities not only provided students with entertainment but also taught important life lessons, focusing on teamwork, perseverance, and resilience.
As a school, they work on promoting sports and physical activity, recognizing the vital role they play in the holistic development of our students. The enthusiasm and energy displayed throughout the day underscored the idea that success, whether in sports or life, comes through effort, determination, and collaboration.
Mini Sports Day was a clear reflection of the commitment to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for the students.
