As part of the #BeActive campaign and the European Week of Sport, Għajnsielem Local Council organised a special edition of Traditional Summer Games, held during Iljieli Sajfin 2025.
The event brought together children, families, and the local community to enjoy timeless Maltese games in a festive summer setting. From lively races to playful challenges, the activities celebrated heritage, fun, and the simple joy of being active together.
The evening was not only a tribute to cultural traditions but also a perfect example of how sport and physical activity can be inclusive, engaging, and deeply rooted in community life. Laughter, teamwork, and friendly rivalry filled the atmosphere, creating memories for both young and old.
Through this initiative, Għajnsielem Local Council highlighted the importance of staying active while honouring local traditions, capturing the very essence of the European Week of Sport and encouraging everyone to embrace the #BeActive spirit.
