On the 11th of October 2024, Marsa Primary School participated in the SportMalta European School Sports Day, a dynamic event aimed at promoting physical activity, healthy competition, and sportsmanship among students. The entire school gathered during the morning assembly for a special dance performance to the popular song “Savage Love.” For 10 school days leading up to the event, students practiced the dance each morning, guided by a dedicated Learning Support Educator (LSE) who adapted the moves to ensure inclusivity for all students, regardless of their abilities.

The event was a joyful celebration of movement and unity. Students’ hard work and enthusiasm were rewarded with extra minutes of dancing to other energetic songs, creating a lively atmosphere. To document the occasion, the entire dance performance was filmed, capturing the spirit of the event and allowing the school to share the experience with the community.

In addition to the fun, the event highlighted the benefits of morning physical activity, such as enhanced focus, concentration, and cognitive function, which are linked to improved academic performance. It also promoted mental well-being, aligning with the school’s focus on creating a holistic learning environment. Through events like this, Marsa Primary continues to foster a culture of health, teamwork, and achievement.
