StMC Maria Goretti Tarxien Middle School celebrated SportMalta School Sports Day on Monday, 19 October 2026, by organising a fun-filled sporting event that encouraged students to get moving, participate actively and enjoy the benefits of physical activity.
Approximately 60 students participated at a time, rotating between five activity stations. This format provided students with opportunities to engage in different challenges, remain active, and interact with their peers in an enjoyable and dynamic environment.

The activities encouraged participation, cooperation, and teamwork, highlighting the importance of incorporating movement and sport into school life. By providing students with opportunities to take part in a variety of activities, the school helped promote positive attitudes towards physical activity and the development of healthy habits.
The initiative reflects the objectives of SportMalta Schools Sports Day, which encourages schools across Malta and Gozo to celebrate sport and highlight its contribution to students’ physical, social, and personal development.
