On Monday, 19 October 2026, Patri Indri Schembri Primary School joined the SportMalta Schools Sports Day celebrations, bringing together approximately 120 pupils for a morning of sporting activities that encouraged movement, teamwork, and the enjoyment of physical activity

Pupils from Years 1, 2 and 3 took part in a variety of fun and engaging activities, including Stick in the Mud, relay races, football shooting and hitting the target. Through these games, children had the opportunity to develop their coordination and physical skills while participating in friendly challenges that encouraged cooperation, teamwork, and healthy competition.

The activities created an enjoyable and positive sporting environment, allowing pupils to interact with their peers, support one another and develop a sense of fair play. By involving younger year groups, the school provided pupils with valuable opportunities to experience the benefits of physical activity from an early age.

The initiative reflects the objectives of SportMalta Schools Sports Day, which encourages schools across Malta and Gozo to celebrate sport and promote active and healthy lifestyles within the educational environment.
