Senglea Primary School organised SportMalta School Sports Day for students from Years 1 to 6, providing an enjoyable day of physical activities aimed at promoting teamwork, communication, fair play, and healthy lifestyles.
The activities, organised by the school’s PE teacher, included balancing on stilts, bouncing on large yoga balls, three-legged races, sack races, balancing equipment on tennis rackets, dribbling races, and target shooting. These games encouraged pupils to develop their coordination and balance while working together and supporting their teammates.
Students also participated in a circuit challenge, where they designed and completed their own circuits in small groups. The activities included hurdles, balance blocks and jumping through hoops, allowing pupils to practise their endurance, agility, balance, and coordination while encouraging one another to do their best.
The programme also featured popular team games such as dodgeball and capture the flag. These activities gave pupils further opportunities to develop their communication and teamwork skills in a friendly and competitive environment.

Teachers and Learning Support Educators (LSEs) also joined in some of the activities, supporting pupils and contributing to the positive atmosphere throughout the day. Their participation strengthened the sense of community and demonstrated how sport can bring students and educators together.

The event was filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and good sportsmanship, with pupils encouraged to value participation, cooperation, and mutual respect over winning.
